Interviews From Thought Leaders in the Promotional Industry - Nicholas Letts



What were your 3-5 best selling products last year? (Bags, shirts, pens, drinkware etc.)

Certainly bottles, bags and recently health products


What are faster growing market segments in your region? (banks, automotive, Pharma, Food etc...)

We're seeing uptick in health and WFH industries, which makes sense given the current economic climate


Do you visit trade shows. If so, which ones are your favourite and why?

Here in Australia, the best one is certainly the APPA tradeshow as it gives valuable insight into the national market to see what is trending as well as highlighting any new developments.
Overseas the Canton Fair is a great place to see a vast range of product and gain a more global understanding of the market.


What are the biggest opportunities you see in your industry?

To my mind, the opportunity to educate clients on why promotional merchandise is so much more than just a giveaway or trade show industry. Being able to have those clear conversations with clients coming from a place of trust allows us as distributors to give a more positive ROI impact, which becomes a win-win on both sides.

Without a doubt, the custom Chicko Roll hand. It's something I've personally been talking about with clients and friends for years, so it's had a great marketing impact on me!
